Investigation
Mission Park Funeral Home in San Antonio Texas underwent under a 3 week trial in 2015 after losing the body of Julie Mott. Julia Mott died at 25 years old due to complications of cystic fibrosis. The parents of Julia Mott had wanted their daughter cremated to follow through with her wish after death. After the funeral on august 15th 2015, After the funeral Julia Mott's casket with her body was moved to the hallway to wait for cremation services. Julia Mott's body was then moved to a more secure place in the funeral home, the funeral home closed at 4:30 PM and when workers arrived the next day, the body was gone. It is believed that the body was stolen at the end of the service. Julia Mott's abusive boyfriend was speculated to have stolen her body, it was never proven and her body has not been recovered.
Julia Motts parents were awarded 8 million, the owners of the company appealed the decision.
