Sanda is a small village on state highway 69, in Gaya district, Bihar. This village is having cultural and historical heritage of Gupta empire which had been demolished by Bhaktiyar khilaji. Sri someshawar nath Mandir is a monumental proof of his rich and diversified heritage of ancient India.This village has played an important role in caste war during late 90 in magadh region. Nawal mukhiya of sanda village was a prominent leader of upper caste, who had been killed by MCC on 22nd Feb 1998 during a horse race in his native village.

This village has also played an important and crucial role in India independence movement led by swami shajanand sarswati in Bhartiya kisan sabha. One more prominent leader of this village was Acharya Brahmachari ji who belongs to Azad hind fauj and fought against British army in Myanmar during second world war.
