Sandeep Mohan
Sandeep Mohan (born 17th September 1974) is an Indian Filmmaker and Screenwriter. He is known for his feature films - Love,Wrinkle-free[1], Hola Venky[2], Shreelancer[3] and Nirmal Anand ki Puppy[4]. He is the Founder of the experimental film distribution concept - The Great Indian Travelling Cinema[5] where he travels and screens his films in alternative spaces around the world.
His debut film Love,Wrinkle-free, a comedy about a Goan dysfunctional family, released theatrically in India in 2012 through PVR Director's Rare.[6] His next film Hola Venky, an Indo-Mexican comedy about an Indian Techie losing 2% of his organ, had a limited theatrical release in San Francisco and San Jose in January 2014.[7] It was also screened in 92 alternative spaces in India, US and Singapore in 2014 as part of The Great Indian Travelling Cinema experiment. Sandeep Mohan also directed a short segment called 'Fin' in the film X - Past is Present,[8] an independent film made by 11 filmmakers from all over India, and it was released theatrically in India in 2015. His next film Shreelancer, a coming of age story of a young Bangalore based freelancer travelling to the Northern regions of India for the first time, released theatrically in India in 2017.[9] It also had a limited theatrical release in the US in two cities - San Jose and New Jersey in 2017. His latest film is Nirmal Anand ki Puppy, a relationship drama which is travelling the Film Festival circuit at the moment.
