Sandor Bodzas

Sándor Bodzás (Hungarian: [ˈbodd͡zaːʃ ˈʃaːndor]; born 1985), is a Hungarian mechanical engineer and professor.[1] He is an expert on worm gears.

Early life[edit]

Born and raised in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, Bodzás received an advanced education in mathematics, physics and computer science in the 2000s at Donát Bánki Polytechnical School. His enthusiasm for engineering and science began here. He was a conscientious, honest and hard-working person, making him the top student of the entire school within a few years.[2]

Education[edit]

He studied at the University of Miskolc from 2004 to 2009. He never missed a lecture, earned the highest grades possible. Even received a letter of commendation from the dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in 2007. In 2008, with the contribution of professor Dr. Illés Dudás, D.Sc he made a dissertation about studying worm gears. He soon became the freak of worm gears. In 2009 he received a golden badge for his superior skills in engineering, and last but no least, for his extremely great manner. In 2009 he graduated from the University of Miskolc with the highest grades possible.

Career[edit]

In 2009, he became lecturer at the University of Miskolc, then at the University of Nyiregyháza in 2011. In 2014 he received his PhD degree [3] with the highest, summa cum laude rating. His Ph.D. dissertation was written about a brand new type of conical worm gear drive, which has extremely low sound level and extraordinary efficiency. He's been a lecturer at the University of Debrecen since 2014. In 2016, he became the deputy department leader. Later that year, he got the title 'Ambassador of Engineers'.[4] At the age of 32 he won the Bolyai-scholarship.[5] He's also a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences [6]

Personal life[edit]

In 2014, he became the master of Kung-Fu.[7] In 2017, Bodzás met Gyöngyi Szanyi with whom he currently lives.
