Sanjay Malhotra (born 14 February 1968) is a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Rajasthan cadre.[1] He is presently the Secretary of the Department of Revenue in the Ministry of Finance.[2][3][4] Earlier he was the Secretary of the Department of Financial Services[5] and the Chairman & MD of Rural Electrification Corporation.[6] He was also nominated on the Reserve Bank of India's central board as a Director[7][8].
Education
Malhotra received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1989[9] and his Master’s in Public Policy from Princeton University[10]
Career
As the Revenue Secretary, he played a key role in the drafting of the Budget of 2023.[11]
