Sanjay Shah is a US-based Indian-origin tech entrepreneur. He is the founder, CEO, and Chief Architect of Vistex Inc., established in 1999. Sanjay completed his MBA at Lehigh University, 1989, when he was 21 years old. He worked at General Motors and then moved to Germany where he worked with SAP SE. Sanjay Shah noticed a gap in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) market. ERP was revolutionizing organizations in many ways, but there was no solution for pricing, trade management, royalties’ management and incentive programs, which so many companies relied on to generate revenue. Sanjay, who was the R&D (Research and Development) leader in the world of enterprise ERP, also noticed that this kind of solution was not on the roadmap of anyone else. So, he decided to build it. Two years later, Vistex first version of solutions was released. With a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation of the importance of giving back, Sanjay founded the Vistex Foundation and the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research at Lehigh University[1]. He died on January 19, 2024, due to an accident that happened at Ramoji Film City on the eve of company silver jubilee celebrations.[2]
