Saqib Idrees Taj
Saqib Idrees[1] contested the 2008 elections as an independent candidate. He belongs to a political family from Shakargarh. His father, Chaudhry Idrees Taj (late), a notable politician and Member National Assembly in Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq’s Cabinet, was very famous for his speeches against the military dictatorship. Saqib's grandfather, Chaudhry Abdul Rahim (Late)[2] was also Member Legislative Assembly before the independence of Pakistan in 1947 and Member National Assembly many times. Saqib is an engineer by profession and a graduate from RMIT University Melbourne Australia.
Saqib Taj is now a part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a member of the Central Executive Committee and Vice President of the Youth Wing Punjab.[3]
