Sarah Begg (born 9th February 1975) is an English retired footballer, and former England international player.[1] A versatile Player , Begg was equally at home playing as a full back , midfield or attack.[2]
Career[edit]
Begg played for English clubs from the Age of 12. Beggs first women's team was Boots ladies,then went on to play for Rainworth, Sheffield Wednesday, Bronte before retiring early at the age 25 whilst playing for Doncaster Belles.
Begg made her England debut aged 16, Manager Barrie Williams called–up Begg for the 6 friendlies and was included in all match day squads against Denmark & Russia. Williams handed Begg her first cap 30 June 1991.On Making her senior England debut, Begg scored in a 3-3 Draw against Denmark in Nordby Stadion, Nordby.
International career[edit]
In November 2022, Begg was recognized by The Football Association as one of the England national team's legacy players, and as the 94th women's player to be capped by England.[3][4]
