Sarah Cohen-Scali (born 16 October 1958) is a Morocco-born French writer, who also publishes under the pseudonym Sarah K..[1] She has published around twenty works for young adults and adults, primarily crime novels. She started writing at 29.

History

Sarah Cohen-Scali has a degree in philosophy and studied literature and drama.[2]

She published her first work in the late 1980s, having written over 50 works under the pseudonym Sarah K. between 2002 and 2013.. She has won several children's literature prizes.

Along with her child friendly novels, she writers thrillers, including 2017's Gueule de loup and Phobie, with the latter winning her the 2017 European Crime Fiction Prize at the Cognac Polar Festival.[3]

In 2012, she published her novel Max, who talked about World War II and Nazism.[4] The novel won several prizes, including the 2013 Sorcières Prize in the Young Adult novel category, and the BRUHi Booksellers' Youth Prize.
