Sarah Fuller Luna is the Director of Wellness.[1] at Saint Agnes Academy in Houston, Texas

Education

In 1995 Sarah was a graduate from Clements High School in Sugar Land, TX. She earned her undergraduate degree from Howard Payne University and a Masters from the University of Houston.

Career and Accomplishments

Sarah began her career at Elkins High School in Fort Bend Independent School District as an English Teacher. From 2006-2011 she was a counselor at Elkins. In the fall of 2011 she began at St. Agnes in the counseling department. In 2014 she helped create the Department for Mental Health and Wellness at St. Agnes. A first in the nation for a high school to offer mental health services to students and faculty. Through her work in counselling she has helped Brene Brown launch learning labs for the Daring Classrooms program in schools. In August of 2019 Netflix released a documentary following Travis Scott, Look Mom I Can Fly that featured Sarah and Travis reflecting[2] on his time at Elkins when Sarah was his counselor. This helped highlight the role of counselors in the development of adolescence, and she continues to serve young adults impact [3]students lives.

Art

Sarah began her art career using mixed media including acrylics, resin and molds under the name Sarah in the Studio[4]. Voyage Houston recognized Sarah as a trending Houston Artist [5]in May of 2018. She was then selected by the Houston Art District to complete a piece for their box project[6]

In 2020 she was accepted[7] into the Escapist Mentorship Program, led by John Ross Palmer.
