Sarah Hepola (born August 26, 1974) is an American writer based in Dallas. She is the author of the bestselling memoir Blackout: Remembering the Things I Drank to Forget, which was published in 2015. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, The Guardian, the Atlantic, Salon, and Elle magazine. She is the host and creator of the Texas Monthly podcast on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, “America’s Girls,” and the co-conspirator of the weekly cultural podcast “Smoke ‘Em if You Got ‘Em.”[1]
Education
Hepola received her BA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997.
Career
She is the author of the bestselling memoir Blackout, which chronicles her years of alcoholism and recovery.[2]
