Sarah McClain
Sarah Rose McClain is a 5'10", 155-lb corner infielder (3B/1B) at Forsyth Central High School in Cumming, GA. Born on December 29, 2009, Sarah grew up as a true multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball, flag football, soccer, softball, lacrosse, and track & field—an athletic foundation that shows in every part of her game.
Sarah’s blend of power, speed, and versatility began drawing attention during her sophomore year, when Prep Softball named her one of the Top 5 Corner Infielders to Watch in the 2028 Class. She validated that recognition with an outstanding sophomore high-school season, posting a .403 batting average, .959 OPS, 31 hits, 18 RBIs, and 10 runs across 26 games. She carried that momentum into a limited Fall Travel Ball season playing for the Lady Dukes Skinner, hitting .500 with 13 hits in 26 at-bats, while helping lead her team to two tournament championships.
Despite her size and strength, Sarah possesses speed, recording a 2.9-second home-to-first time, making her a threat both at the plate and on the bases. Her rare combination of physicality, quickness, and defensive versatility positions her as one of the most dynamic young infielders in the 2028 class.[1]
