Sarah Nevada Grether is an American actress, choreographer and dancer.

Sarah Nevada Grether was born in Reno, Nevada in 1982 and grew up on a farm in Camarillo, California. She received her early classical dance education from the Channel Islands Ballet School in Ventura, California, the School of American Ballet in New York City and the Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle, Washington.

At the age of 16, she moved to Germany to train at the Hamburg Ballet School under the direction of John Neumeier from 1998 to 2001. In 2000 she was a semi-finalist in the international dance competition Prix de Lausanne. From 2001 to 2006 she was engaged as a solo and group dancer at the Stuttgart Ballet under the direction of Reid Anderson. During her years at the Stuttgart Ballet, she danced solo and main roles such as "Stella" in John Neumeier's version of "A Streetcar Named Desire" as well as works of choreographers John Cranko, Wayne McGregor, Uwe Scholz, Glen Tetly, Christan Spuck, and Hans Von Mannen.

In 2008, she moved to Berlin, Germany and began to work as a freelance artist in modern dance, performance art, singing and acting. She has worked with dance, theater, opera and film directors such as Isabelle Stever [de], Marco Carniti, Patrick King, Michel Comte, Reynold Reynolds, Constanza Macras, Rolando Villazón, Claus Guth and others. In 2013, she starred in the lead role of Lilly in the feature film "Die Verlorenen" ("The Lost") by director Reynold Reynolds. In 2014, she was cast as Nadya in Tatjana Turanskyj's film "Top Girl" and as the dancer Debbie in the TV-Series "Big Heads", written and directed by Marlene Melchior.

Sarah Nevada is the founder of "wake-shops", a curriculum combining dance, yoga and physical theater. She is also a founding artist and co-creator of the immersive lifestyle theater company, "Salon K Experience”, founded in 2011 in Berlin. She has ongoing collaborations with world renowned art and fashion photographers Dieter Blum [de], Hami Roshan and Brieuc Le Meur, amongst others. Furthermore, Sarah Nevada has choreographed and directed her own dance and interactive theater productions at the Noverre Society in Stuttgart, Germany, the Dampfzentrale in Bern, Switzerland and in many venues in Berlin, Germany, as well as private events for festivals, music videos and solo stage performances.

In 2020, she danced and acted in celebrated multimedia artist Jeremy Shaw's work "Phase Shifting Index," which premiered in the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

In 2022, Sarah Nevada Grether stars in the lead role of Nadja in the German feature film Grand Jeté [de] by director Isabelle Stever [de], which premiered at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival and is due to come to cinemas in August 2022.

She currently lives between Berlin, Los Angeles and New York.
