Sarah Selby
Sarah Elizabeth Selby (born August 30, 1905 - January 7, 1980), was an American actress. She starred in numerous films from 1941 to 1978, two years before her death on August 30, 1980 at the age of 74. In her first role she voiced[1] the elephant Prissy in the movie Dumbo.[2]

Biography[edit]
Sarah Selby was born on August 30, 1905 in Middletown, Ohio, USA as Sarah Elizabeth Selby. She was an actress,[3] known for Tower of London (1962), Beyond the Forest (1949) and The Hardy Boys: The Mystery of the Applegate Treasure (1956). She was married to Holger Yngvar Harthern-Jakobsen and Stanley Robert Wuliger. Rangy, matronly, dark-haired American character actress who played minor roles for the most part - usually a town gossip, maiden aunt, or teacher. Started as a radio actress and made her screen debut voicing one of the elephants in Disney's Dumbo (1941). Best known for her recurring role as the owner Ma Smalley's boarding house on TV's Gunsmoke (1955).[4]
Death[edit]
Sarah Selby died from a cancer at 79 in Los Angeles, California, United States. She has no grave. Her body was donated to medical science.[5]
