Aleksandr Vladimirovich Sotnik (Russian: Александр Владимирович Сотник; born on March 21, 1968, Magnitogorsk, Russian SFSR) is Russian journalist, writer, radio and television personality, blogger and songwriter better known under his pen name Sasha Sotnik. He is a creator and author of independent TV channel, Sotnik-TV that operates on YouTube.
Sasha Sotnik is known for his criticism of Russian government.[1] He regularly published in numerous Russian periodicals. On 11 March 2010 Sotnik was among the first ones who signed the political campaign "Putin Must Go" that started on the 10th.
He left Russia with his family after receiving threats, but soon returned and continues running an independent news channel and blog, Sotnik-TV on YouTube.[2][3][4]
