Satyendra Mohan Dhar Esquire[1] (born 25 March, 1897)[2] was an Indian civil servant who held the titles of Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E) and Indian Civil Service (I.C.S.).[3] He served as the secretary to the Government of Bihar in the Education, Development, and Employment Departments.[4][5]

Early life and Education

Satyendra Mohan Dhar was born to the Dewan of Mayurbhanj- Mohini Mohan Dhar[6][7] and Saudamini Ghose Dhar.[8] Dhar pursued his education, along with his brother Dhirendra Mohan Dhar at the University of Cambridge and the University of London[8]. Satyendra Mohan Dhar was married to Ava Sen Dhar, the grand-daughter of Sir Krishna Govinda Gupta.[9]

Career

He was the 42nd and 44rth Commissioner of Tirhut Division, Bihar. He served as the secretary to the Government of Bihar in the Education, Development, and Employment Departments.[4][5][10]
