Scary logos
Scary logos are logos that are known to cause fear to most viewers.
Origin
The first scary logos are Screen Gems's "S from Hell" and Viacom's "V of Doom". Both of them are known to be scary because of their nicknames. The Screen Gems logo had a short documentary of the same name released in 2010 due to the amount of people that saw this logo and got frightened.
Scary Logos Wiki
Scary Logos Wiki is a fandom best known for describing scary logos. Just like the Audiovisual Identity Database, it contains the logo description, music or sounds played etc. It also contains scare factors, which range from None to Nightmare and identify the causes.
Other scary logos
More scary logos include the Fabrica logo in 1999 which scares people due to the eyes, darkness and silence. Klasky-Csupo serves as another example of scary logos, because of Splaat.
What's the scariest logo you've ever seen?
In AVID, there is what appears to be an online forum called "What's the scariest logo you've ever seen?". As of 20 March 2023, 49 users have made their own list of what logo scares them and why. It can also be logos which no longer scare them. There is also another one called "What is your favorite logo?"
