Schrotthagen is a German electronic music duo by Giovanni Berg and Dieter Schleip. They are mostly known for their cinematic approach to techno.

History

Dieter grew up in Aachen, Germany where he was involved in the Aachen film festival and the local film house.[2] Later he moved to Münich where he became a film composer and teacher in film composition at the music academy. In Münich Dieter met Giovanni, who also worked as composer for films and advertising.[3] Only after working together for some time they discovered their shared interest for techno music after making a television score for a scene taking place in a techno club.[4] By 2023 they began making techno productions together and posting videos on TikTok and Instagram. Within ten months they made two albums and reached over 350.000 monthly listeners.[1][4][5]
