Scott Bidmead (born 13 May 1993) is an international journalist, TV presenter/producer, positive psychology expert, and founder of Mead Media and Open Ended. Scott is known for his role hosting the Logie-winning national TV show Totally Wild, Into Water and Beyond, filling in as a weather presenter for Ten Eyewitness News, featuring on Foxtel and Channel V Australia, and his own show Open Ended.

Early life and Education[edit]

Bidmead was born on the Gold Coast, Queensland. He graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Journalism specializing in Public Relations and International Relations. He has also completed his Graduate Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology at CQ University, and is now working towards receiving his Masters Degree in Applied Positive Psychology.

Career[edit]

After graduating from University, Bidmead has worked extensively as a presenter for programs including Into Water and Beyond that aired on Foxtel and Channel One[disambiguation needed], as a feature writer for Boss Hunting , Collective Hub, and the Great Aussie Bite, featured in two films; Alfa Maschi and Bite Club, and starred in a mini-series on Channel V Australia.

In 2016, Bidmead became a presenter and producer for Network 10's Logie-winning national TV show Totally Wild [1]. Along with this role, he is also often seen filling in as a weather presenter for Ten Eyewitness News.

In 2017, Bidmead was flown to China twice to host two major cycling races; The Tour of Qinghai Lake, and the Tour of Hainan, where he also filmed an episode for 'lifestyle series with a purpose' Open Ended [2] [3]. Scott is also the Managing Director of his PR and Production Company, Mead Media, working with local and international clients such as the Commonwealth Games, to help share their stories through online, TV and traditional content creation[4]
