Early Life[edit]

As a 20-year-old, Scott Duffy began his career working for Tony Robbins as a Field Sales Representative & Sales Trainer at Robbins Research International. He was hired to promote Tony Robbins and worked to sell his programs across North America. One year later, Scott had conducted over 200 workshops that helped everyone from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies with their sales training and personal development. He continued to work RRI events for the next 10 years and has shared the stage with top speakers in the industry and today's generation of speakers, including Daymond John, Dave Asprey, Grant Cardone, and Tom Bilyeu.

From Robbins Research International, Scott Duffy went on to work for several small businesses which he helped to evolve into big brands. In 1997, he was the West Coast Sales Manager of Sportsline USA, which eventually became CBS Sportsline. Scott pioneered some of the company's earliest cross media sales programs and led the company through their successful initial public offering. In 1998, Scott left CBS Sportsline to pursue a Vice President of Sales role at Xoom.com, which eventually became NBC Internet. In 2001, Scott Duffy became Vice President of Business Development, Sales, & Marketing of FoxSports.com, where he was instrumental in setting the company up for long-term success.

Later, Scott founded Smart Charter in 2006, which was a centralized marketplace and online booking tool for private aviation. Here, he served as CEO. Eventually, Smart Charter was acquired by Richard Branson's Virgin Group. Scott's daily responsibilities included overseeing the company's vision, management, business strategy, fundraising, media and public relations, and team building. He was invited to participate as a key member in Richard Branson/Virgin Group's Annual Gathering on Necker Island, which was the company's select CEO Summit.

Scott Duffy's professional background is vast and varied. He is an entrepreneur, a best-selling author, a keynote speaker, a television host, an angel investor, and a business coach. Throughout all of these ventures, Scott Duffy has always been led by a central mission of wanting to change the world and the lives of people who want to live out their dreams of becoming an entrepreneur.

Scott Duffy currently serves as Founder & CEO of SD Media Holdings. He is also the Co-host & Chief Burger-ologist on the television show Business & Burgers. Scott, who is known as Scott "Hold the Pickles" Duffy, and his co-host, Alan "You Gonna Eat That" Taylor, travel the nation interviewing top entrepreneurs, entertainers, and athletes about their business insight while also searching for the best burger in America.

Since 2017, Scott Duffy has been a VIP Contributor for Entrepreneur Media. In addition to Business & Burgers, Scott hosts a national weekly radio segment on Entrepreneur Radio. He authors one of their weekly columns and is also one of their social media contributors. In 2018, Entrepreneur Press published Scott Duffy's best-selling book, "Breakthrough: How to Harness the Aha! Moments That Spark Success", where Scott shares the a-ha moments he's had throughout his career that have led to breakthroughs in both his personal and professional life.

Personal Life[edit]

Scott is a fun, engaging, and personable speaker that brings energy, passion, and authenticity to the stage. As such, Scott Duffy has been recognized as a "Top 10 Keynote Speaker" by Entrepreneur. He has spoken at the NYSE and has also provided commentary for outlets such as CNBC, Fox News, and CBS Radio.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Scott now lives in Southern California. He has two children.
