The Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC) is Scotland's leading business network. [1] Through its 27 Accredited Chambers of Commerce across Scotland, SCC represents 12,000 businesses in all sectors, ranging from start-ups to multinational companies. The headquarters are in Glasgow, on the University of Strathclyde campus.
History
Leadership
Dr Liz Cameron OBE serves as the Director and Chief Executive of SCC, the first woman to lead the organisation. With a career spanning more than three decades in the private sector, she is recognised as one of the most influential forces in Scotland's business community.[2]
In 2019, Charandeep Singh was promoted to the new role of Deputy Chief Executive, 6 years after joining the company.[3]
Board
The Board is the governing body of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce. Members include entrepreneurs and eminent business leaders from across Scotland. Poonam Gupta, Stuart Cresswell, Colin Loveday and Val Russell joined the SCC board in 2018.[4]
