ScreenCraft is a screenwriting competition founded in 2012 by film producers Cameron Cubbison and John Rhodes with the stated mission to develop and celebrate commercially viable and genre-focused screenplays from emerging talent.

Awards are given to the following genres and formats:

  • Horror & Thriller
  • Action & Adventure
  • Comedy
  • Drama
  • Sci-Fi & Fantasy
  • Family
  • Animation
  • Cinematic Book
  • Cinematic Short Story
  • Stage Play
  • TV Pilot
  • Short Film
  • Feature
  • True Story & Public Domain

Other programs are also offered, including the ScreenCraft Film Fund and the ScreenCraft Fellowship[1], which is included on the Writers Guild Foundation’s masterlist of Fellowship Programs For Screenwriters.[2]

Each competition and program is judged by Hollywood development executives, producers, literary managers, agents, and screenwriters.

A number of screenwriters that placed in ScreenCraft competitions have gone on to sign with literary managers and agents, receive option agreements, receive professional writing assignments in film and television, and/or have their projects produced.
