Seamus McNally
Seamus McNally Seamus McNally (born October 1969), is an American film director, screenwriter, producer as well as a coach and instructor for actors and directors. He is best known for "To Paint the Portrait of a Bird," adapted from the poem by Jacques Prévert, English translation by Lawrence Ferlinghetti (Winner New York/ Avignon Film Festival). Other works include "Good Old Days" (featuring Nick Sandow and Greg Keller), and "The Hypnotist" (Premiere: Montreal World Film Festival). He has several projects for film and television (both fiction and non-fiction works) in various stages of development and post-production.
He worked as an actor throughout the 1990's, appearing in numerous films such as: Once We Were Strangers (1997), Polish Wedding (1998), Homegrown (1998), 200 Cigarettes (1999)
He has been a coach for directors and actors playing lead roles in: Orange is the New Black, Black Mirror, Too Old to Die Young, Roots (2016 miniseries)
McNally is also known for his intensive workshops for actors and directors held internationally. Most recently: New York, Berlin, Vienna, Munich and Copenhagen.
