Seamus "Shay" O'Brien (born 28 May 1945) is an Irish former professional darts player who has competed members in the World Darts Federation (WDF) tournaments on the 1970s and 1980s.
Darts career[edit]
Seamus making his BDO World Darts Championship debut in the 1978 are losing to Paddy Clifford of Republic of Ireland by whitewash 5–0 in the first round. Seamus to reached the final of the 1978 BDO Nations Cup in team Ireland with Charles Byrne and Jim McQuillan and he losing to team Sweden with Stefan Lord, Bjørn Enqvist and Kenth Ohlsson by 3–1 legs.
Seamus reached the last 32 of 1982 Winmau World Masters are beating by Ellis Elsevijf of Netherlands, Leighton Rees of Wales but who losing to Doug McCarthy of England.
Seamus five times Irish Open Darts Champions are beating by Eric Bristow of England in 1977, John Lowe of England in 1979, Steve Brennan of Northern Ireland in 1981, Jocky Wilson of Scotland in 1982 and Keith Deller of England in 1983 of the final.
Seamus won the 1979 Dublin Open darts champions are beating by Fred McMullan of Northern Ireland in the final.
