Sean Banerjee is an Indian actor and model. He is the grandson of the legendary Bengali actress Supriya Devi.[4] [5]. Sean played the role of Chhote Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula (or Siraj) in Star Jalsha's historical soap opera Ami Sirajer Begum and the character of Dr. Ujaan Chatterjee in Star Jalsa's medical romantic serial Ekhane Aakash Neel Season 2.[6] [7] Sean enjoys a huge fan-base [8] [9] [10] and is especially popular amongst his fans for his drawings and sketches. [11]

Career[edit]

In 2013 Sean started his career with modelling. In 2017 he was nominated as a candidate for Mr. India from Kolkata. He was one of the twelve models who participated in FFace Calendar 2018.[12] In 2018 he kick-started his career in Indian television with Ami Sirajer Begum on Star Jalsha. He played the role of the male protagonist Nawab Siraj-ud-daulah in the show and bagged the West Bengal Tele Academy Award for Best Actor in 2019.[13]

Sean gained huge popularity with the portrayal of the character of Dr. Ujaan Chatterjee in Star Jalsha‘s medical romantic drama Ekhane Akash Neel Season 2.[14][15][16] He grabbed the top most position on Calcutta Times, the Most Desirable Men chart in 2019.[17]
