Sean Fennessey
Sean Fennessey (born July 26, 1982) is an American editor, writer, and podcaster. Fennessey has worked as the Editor-in-Chief of The Ringersince 2015[1]. Prior to that, Fennessey was Deputy Editor[2] at Grantland and an editor at GQ and Vibe. After Simmons' departure from Grantland, Fennessey declined to accept the Editor-in-Chief title at the web site.[3] In 2018, Fennessey was also named Chief Content Officer of The Ringer.[4]
As a journalist, he has written for Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and Pitchfork, among others.[5] He is the host of The Big Picture podcast[6], a conversation show with prominent film directors, on the Ringer Podcast Network. He is also a regular co-host of The Rewatchables podcast and a columnist who frequently writes about movies and the film industry.
