INTRO

Sean Groves was born in Innisfail, Alberta, and raised in Saskatoon. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated from the University’s College of Medicine in 2003. He did his rural family medicine residency in Prince Albert and later continued his career to La Ronge with his wife and family in 2005. Sean has spent his time in La Ronge as a highly respected member of his community. He is a loving father of five children, his eldest son Thomas, his daughter Julia, his son Solomon, and his youngest two daughters, Isabel and Pikaea. He created and has led the development of the La Ronge rural family medicine training program since 2011. This program has evolved into resident-run clinics in a number of remote northern locations. He has been a student and resident coordinator at the La Ronge Medical Clinic since coming to La Ronge.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Sean Groves was born on October 25th, 1997 in Innisfail, Alberta. He lived in Bowden, Alberta with his parents, Brian and Kathy Groves until the age of 7 when he moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. At the age of ??? he made Team Canada's baseball team as a pitcher and traveled to Japan.

Sean Groves attended the University of Saskatchewan pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Cell Biology and Anatomy from 1994 - 1998. He then moved on to get his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1999 - 2003. He did his CCFP, Family Medicine Residency Program in Prince Albert, SK from 2003 - 2005.
