Sebastian "Seb" Frey (born 1971) is an American real estate broker, author, and housing strategist based in Silicon Valley, California. Frey is known for his work advising older homeowners and their families on downsizing, aging in place, and later-life housing transitions. Frey is affiliated with Compass and has spent more than two decades working in residential real estate throughout the Bay Area.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Early life and education
Sebastian Frey was born on January 19, 1971, in Berkeley, California. He was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Frey attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he studied American government and politics.
Career
Real estate
Frey began his real estate career in the early 2000s and has worked continuously in residential brokerage across the Bay Area, including Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz County, and the Monterey Bay region. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than 450 residential real estate transactions, representing buyers and sellers across a wide range of property types.[8][9]
Frey has been affiliated with Compass as a broker associate since 2019. His practice emphasizes advising clients on complex housing decisions rather than focusing exclusively on property type or price segment. His client base primarily consists of older adults and their adult children navigating downsizing, relocation, senior living options, and multi-generational housing transitions.[10][11][12]
Frey served as president of the Santa Cruz County Association of REALTORS® in 2019, and previously as a director.[13]
He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors.
Team Sixty Plus
Frey is the founder of Team Sixty Plus, a specialized network focused on supporting older adults and their families through housing transitions later in life. The initiative combines real estate advisory services with education on topics such as senior housing options, downsizing strategies, care planning considerations, and equity-based financial approaches.
Through Team Sixty Plus, Frey has developed and led workshops, written resources, and digital content aimed at helping homeowners make informed decisions about whether to sell, relocate, or remain in their homes.
Frey is a member of the National Aging in Place Council and the Society of Certified Senior Advisors.
Podcasting
Frey launched the podcast Sixty Plus Uncensored in 2025, where he serves as host and producer. The podcast features interviews with individuals over the age of 60, as well as professionals working in fields related to aging, housing, entrepreneurship, and lifestyle planning. He also runs Seb Frey TV on YouTube and Sixty Plus Living Facebook group.

Awards and recognition
In 2020, he received the Distinguished Leadership Award from the Santa Cruz County Association of REALTORS for his service as its 2019 President. The award is infrequently presented and had not been conferred for more than 20 years.[18]
Frey received the “REALTOR® of the Year” Award in 2025, recognizing his professional contributions within the real estate industry. His production volume has placed him among the top-performing real estate agents nationally, according to industry rankings published by RealTrends.[19]
Personal life
Frey is married and has two children. He currently resides in California.
