Securiti (sometimes stylized Securiti.ai) is an Silicon Valley based software company that develops tools for enterprise data security and privacy operations. Coverage of the company has focused on products that provide data discovery, classification, governance, and data security posture management across cloud and software-as-a-service environments.[1][2]

In 2020 Securiti won the RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox competition for “Most Innovative Startup.”[3][4]

History

Securiti was founded in 2019 by entrepreneur Rehan Jalil in San Jose, California.[5] In January 2020 the company raised US$50 million in Series B funding led by General Catalyst and Mayfield.[6] In October 2022 Securiti announced a US$75 million Series C round led by Owl Rock (Blue Owl Capital) and introduced a platform described as providing unified controls for security, privacy, governance and compliance.[5][7]

In March 2023 Capital One Ventures and Citi Ventures became new investors. Reports described the funding as intended to support the company’s DataControls Cloud product and its adoption among large enterprises.[8][9]

Products

Independent coverage has characterized Securiti’s platform as providing a centralized layer of data intelligence and controls across public clouds, data clouds and SaaS, with features for data discovery and classification, privacy operations, and data security posture management.[5][7] Security trade publications have also described capabilities such as vulnerability detection and automated policy enforcement within the platform.[7]
