SeeWay
SeeWay is an initiative of Guide Dogs designed to support Australians living with early to moderate low vision.
Background
SeeWay began as a pilot program titled Navigate Your Journey, which began in October 2024.[1] SeeWay launched in May 2025 as an initiative of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, first to professionals on May 14 2025[2] and then to the public on May 29[3] at the Ace Hotel in Sydney. SeeWay launched due to the growing cohort of 70,000 Australians living with low vision aged between 18 to 97, with an average age of 71.[4] This number is expected to grow to 114,000 by 2050.[5]
SeeWay has since launched nationally on October 9 2025, which coincided with World Sight Day.[6] This campaign was focused on awareness and centred around the slogan "A loss of some vision needn't mean a loss of connection".[7]
Services
SeeWay is a digital service which provides information about living with low vision through its website. It also partners with psychology service onPsych to provide fully subsidised mental health support for people living with vision loss and their carers and loved ones.[8] They also provide digital skills training and are listed on the Good Things Foundation website as their accessibility partner for Get Online Week.[9]
Reception
As of the Guide Dogs NSW/ACT Annual Report, the SeeWay website has amassed 5,000 unique visitors to the website and its promotional materials have been embedded into hospitals such as Sydney Eye Hospital and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.[10]
