Company history
SeedLegals was founded as a disruptive startup in 2016 when Laurent Laffy and Anthony Rose (entrepreneur) met at a party in Rome.[3][4] Co-founder Anthony Drogon joined as CTO.[5]
In 2017, SeedLegals raised a $4 million Series A round led by Venture capital firm Index Ventures with Kima Ventures, The Family and Seedcamp.[6]
In 2023, SeedLegals closed 1 in 6 early-stage funding rounds in the UK[7] and over £1 billion has been raised on the platform.[8][9]
Services
The SeedLegals platform automates the creation of legal documents, contracts and agreements.[10]
Company founders and investors use SeedLegals to build legal documents for a funding round (Securities offering), and to recruit, track and allocate equity to their employees, contractors and advisors.[5][11]
SeedLegals also offers a service which allows startups and SMEs to claim Research and Development Tax Credit from HM Revenue and Customs.[12]
SeedLegals combines the Software as a service platform with customer service via live chat, email and phone. As of March 2023, the company has a Trustpilot rating of 4.9/5.[13]
