Sehyr Mirza is a Pakistani independent journalist.[1][2][3][4] and author[5][6][7]. Her debut book, The Other in the Mirror, was published in 2022.[8][9][10][11][12] As a writer and journalist, Sehyr has done work on minority rights in Pakistan[2][13][14], Hindustani classical music in Pakistan,[15][16][17] and South Asian literature.[18][19] Sehyr has been vocal about peace in South Asia.[20] After the 2019 Pulwama attack, she initaited an online campaign "#AntiHateChallenge"[21][22][23] that went viral and was received very well amid a lot of tension between Pakistan and India.[24][25][26]

Sehyr is the founding director of the Pakistani non-profit organization SAMAAJ[27] that is known for initiatives such as Super Sohni, an animated series against child sexual abuse in Pakistan [28][29][30]
