Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Science School) is a boarding secondary science school situated in Jalan Gambang, Kuantan, the capital of Pahang, Malaysia.

The school establishment tracks back to 1973 where originally it was named Sekolah Menengah Sains Pahang (Pahang Science School). Prior to 8 January 1974 when it settled in their current campus in Jalan Gambang, the campus is placed temporarily in Sekolah Abu Bakar, Temerloh and students lives in Temerloh Central Hostel nearby the school. Abdul Rahim bin Abdul Hamid was appointed the first principal of the school, which also still the longest serving principal of the school. Sukarsiah binti Abu Samah, one of the students from the school's first batch, designed the badge of the school.
The school is officiated on 22 July 1976 by the then Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah. To honour the occasion, the name was later changed into the current name of Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah.
