Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Pekan is a boarding secondary high school situated in Pekan, the royal capital of Pahang, Malaysia.

The school establishment history started when Mohd Radzi bin Abdul Rahim appointed as the principal of the upcoming 31st government boarding school, alongside Ibrahim bin Ahmad as his deputy on 1 March 1989. First batch of teachers started reporting in on 17 April of the same year, and first batch of students, consisting of 212 Form Four students and 201 Form One students started enrolling on 1 August 1989.[1]
Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, the then Sultan of Pahang is actively involved with its establishment, with all school identity such as the song and the emblem has been approved directly by him and also observed the development of the campus from the beginning. Later on 21 October 1989, he officiated the school.
