Selangor Symphony Orchestra

The Selangor Symphonic Orchestra(SSO) is a professional orchestra based in Selangor, Malaysia.[1][2] [3]
Each SSO concerts gathers the most accomplished classical musicians in Malaysia, forming around 50 musicians to partake in it's music making. The SSO was founded in 2015, by Eugene Pook to create a platform for professional classical musicians, and to present the accumulated growth in the Malaysian classical music.
The orchestra had successfully made an inaugural concert on 21st November 2015, Saturday, featuring a renowned violin soloist Zhang Le, and was held at Auditorium, Jubli Perak, SUK Negeri Selangor. The orchestra annual season calendar consists of orchestra concerts, chamber music series and education and outreach programs. The orchestra has also been featured in articles such as The Star.
The SSO also includes Selangor Symphony Youth Orchestra(SSYO), which offers a weekly orchestra training programs for talented young musicians, exposing them to unique performing experiences that could broaden their artistic talents.[4]
