Selina Tobaccowala is an entrepreneur and software product executive. She is known for co-founding the company Evite.[1][2]

Education

Selina Tobaccowala attended Stanford University in Stanford, California and graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science.[3] While in college, she and fellow Stanford student Al Leib founded Evite in 1997.[3]

Career

She served as vice president of engineering at Evite until 2001, when Evite was acquired by Ticketmaster.[3][4][5] After managing the transition,[3] she became senior vice president of product at Ticketmaster's Europe division.[5][6]

Tobaccowala joined SurveyMonkey in 2009 as vice president of product and engineering,[7] before becoming president and chief technology officer.[1] In 2016, Tobaccowala joined with her Evite co-founder, Al Lieb, to start Gixo, a fitness app that streams live exercise classes to mobile devices.[8] Gixo was acquired in 2019 by Openfit, a subsidiary of the Beachbody Company.[9]

Tobaccowala serves on the board of Redfin,[10] the board of Vital Voices,[11] and on the advisory board to HubSpot.[12] She previously served on the board of Tugboat Yards.[7]
