Semper Ardens
Semper Ardens is a product line of beer by the Danish brewery Carlsberg. Semper ardens is Latin for 'always burning'. The phrase was a motto of Carl Jacobsen, son of Carlsberg founder J. C. Jacobsen, and namesake of the brewery itself. The phrase is also inscribed over one of the porticos at Copenhagen's Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, an art museum founded by Carl Jacobsen and based on his personal collection.
The product line includes:
- Semper Ardens Abbey Ale
- Semper Ardens Blonde Bier
- Semper Ardens Bock
- Semper Ardens Criollo Stout
- Semper Ardens Christmas Ale
- Semper Ardens Easter Ale
- Semper Ardens First Gold I.P.A.
- Semper Ardens Honning Ale
- Semper Ardens Keller Pilz
- Semper Ardens Weisse
- Semper Ardens Wiener
- Semper Ardens Winter Rye
A few other "restaurants only" variants of the existing Semper Ardens beers were available in 70 cl (25 imp fl oz; 24 US fl oz) bottles:
- Semper Ardens Abbey Ale
- Semper Ardens Christmas Ale
- Semper Ardens Criollo Stout
- Semper Ardens Weisse
