SensUs
SensUs is the annual international student competition founded in 2016 [1] on molecular biosensors for health.[2] Student teams build biosensing systems and demonstrate their prototypes and business models during a public contest event at Eindhoven University of Technology.[1] [3] The competition and the contest event are organized by students.[1]
Each year SensUs addresses a different healthcare theme and a corresponding biomarker.[1] In 2016, the theme was kidney failure and the biomarker was creatinine.[1] In 2019 the theme was rheumatoid arthritis and the biomarker was adalimumab.[2] In 2021 the theme was influenza and the biomarker was hemagglutinin.[4] In 2022 the theme was sepsis and the biomarker was interleukin 6.[3]
