Sensopro AG is a Swiss fitness equipment company based in Münsingen, Canton of Bern.[4] The company develops coordination training devices intended for use in sports and rehabilitation contexts.[2] Sensopro gained wider media attention after the SensoPro Trainer was presented on the German television entrepreneurship show Die Höhle der Löwen in 2016.[6][3]

History

The founders Kaspar Schmocker, Florian Kuchen and Jan Urfer presented the SensoPro Trainer on Die Höhle der Löwen in September 2016, according to reporting by Stern and Blick.[6][3] Blick reported that the founders ultimately declined the investment offer shown during the broadcast.[3] The professional physiotherapy journal physiopraxis (Georg Thieme Verlag) described Schmocker as the inventor of the device and characterized the trainer as a coordination system under load.[7]

Products

Migros iMpuls described Sensopro training as requiring users to stabilize their body while following video-guided exercises on a screen integrated into the device.[8] The same publication described coordination as a central training element in the Sensopro concept alongside other fitness components.[8] A 2025 thesis archived by the University of Bern described the Sensopro Luna Fitness as a stationary coordination training device featuring an instruction screen and a swingboard system using suspended tapes.[9]

Research and development

In June 2023, the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) announced a joint development project with Sensopro for a training system called Motor-Sensopro intended to support balance training in a secured environment.[2] The associated project is listed in the Swiss federal research database ARAMIS as an innovation project running from January 2023 to March 2025.[10] The University of Bern documented an Innosuisse-funded research collaboration with Sensopro aimed at adding sensor-based real-time feedback to Sensopro coordination training systems.[11]
