Seo Youngeun (Korean: 서영은; Japanese: ヨンウン; Chinese: 徐永恩. Born: December 27th, 2022) a South Korean Singer and Dancer. She is known for participating in the Mnet survival reality TV show Girls Planet 999, placing 5th in the finale, and becoming an official member of the group Kep1er[1].
Early Life[edit]

Seo Youngeun revealed in an interview with KpopHerald that during a trip to an amusement park with her family, she happened to meet Epik High performing and was carried on her shoulder by a member during the performance. And this is the motivation that makes Seo Youngeun dream of becoming an idol.
Before debuting, Seo Youngeun attended Modern K Music Academy in middle school, then joined Biscuit Entertainment. She used to be a backup dancer for Dreamnote and Lee Sejin (former Produce X 101 contestant).
Youngeun's strength is covering boy group choreography, guessing the song's name within 1 second of playing the music. In addition, Youngeun can also play baseball, soccer, basketball, badminton, boardgame and knows a little Taekwondo.
Before Debut[edit]
GIRLS PLANET 999[edit]
Seo Youngeun auditioned for Girls Planet 999 with the song "Bon Voyage" by YooA (member of OH MY GIRL) and danced "Cherry Bomb" (NCT).
- Ranked 10th out of 33 K-Group contestants. Performed "Kick-It" (NCT) as Dance and Rap along with K-Group contestant Yoon Ji-A in the Demo round and entered the top 9 chosen by the Masters (6th place out of 99 contestants).
- Contact Mission: Share cell with C-group Xiaoting (Kep1er member) and J-group Kawaguchi Yurina. Belongs to team 1 How You Like That, Vocal 1 position and won.
- The first qualifying round rank is K04.
- Connect Mission: Her first cell was broken up. She chose the Vocal position of the song "My House," take on the Main Vocal and Killing Part with C-group team Wang Yale and J-group Ayana.
- The 2nd qualifying position is K05, the overall ranking is P16.
- Combination Mission: Youngeun was initially selected by Planet Guardians to join team Snake. However, after the 2nd elimination round, team "U + Me = Love" was short of members. So, team "Snake" discussed which members might be out of this team. In the end, Seo Youngeun and Kim Suyeon were the two members who had to transfer to the team "U + Me = Love." Seo Youngeun then took on the role of Main Vocal. Team "U + Me = Love" won against Team Snake, Utopia, and Shoot!
- O.O.O Mission: Seo Youngeun got into team 3 and became Rapper 1 in this mission. Being the 4th highest viewed contestant out of 26 contestants and the 1st in team 3, she won with 80,000 plus points.
- She ranked 9 in the 3rd elimination round. That was also the first time she got back into the top 9 after being chosen by the Masters for the first time. The K-group rank was K03.
- The midterm ranking before the final is P04.
- The rank in the last episode is P05, officially becoming a member of Kep1er.
After Girls Planet 999 - Before debuting with Kep1er[edit]
- Because two members, Xiaoting and Mashiro, tested positive to Covid-19, their debut date was delayed to January 3rd, 2022.
- On December 23rd, 2021, Seo Youngeun and two members, Kim Chaehyun and Kim Dayeon released the cover "This Christmas" of SNSD Kim Taeyeon.

Kep1er (2022 - )[edit]
Debut - First Mini Album "First Impact" (Jan 3rd, 2022)[edit]
- At 16:00 (KST) January 3, the music video for "WA DA DA" was released. Kep1er had their first debut showcase on the same day.
- On January 8, on the Music Core stage, Seo Youngeun slipped; she quickly stood up and continued to perform professionally. This was only shown in member Kim Chaehyun's fancam.
- On January 26, Seo Youngeun and Kim Chaehyun tested positive to Covid-19[2]. Music Korea Fansign event and Apple Music Fancall event had to be postponed to February 12. As a result, all of the schedules were canceled.
