Sergio Morales (born May 26, 1993) is a Canadian politician who has served on Barrie City Council as the councillor for Ward 9 since December 6, 2014.[1]. He was elected after defeating incumbent councillor Brian Jackson with 51.63% of the overall vote. In March 2018, Morales announced he would seek the federal Conservative nomination[2] for the federal electoral district of Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte, however, Barrie councillor Doug Shipley went on to secure the nomination instead. In August 2018, Morales was acclaimed for a second term to Barrie City Council. In May 2022, he registered to run for a third term to represent Ward 9. He was re-elected[3] with 67.76% of the vote. Sergio has lived in Barrie since 2002[4]
