Serhiy Malyk
Serhiy Malyk (16 December 1966, Kyiv) is the founder and the president of Kyiv City Auto Moto Club,[1] two-time master of sports of the USSR, master of sports of Ukraine, champion of Ukraine in circuit car racing, candidate of psychological sciences, holder of 36 national and world records in motor sports and ballooning.

In 1989, Serhiy Malyk graduated, having started studying in 1984, from the Kyiv Military Command College of Communications. In 2007 Serhiy Malyk graduated from Lviv State University of Physical Culture. Candidate of Psychological Sciences (2005).
Biography[edit]
Serhiy Malyk was born 16 December 1966 in Kyiv. His father, Dmytro Malyk, is a doctor. His mother, Nadiya Malyk, is an economist. In a high school Serhiy Malyk decided to build his career as a military officer, therefore in 1984 joined the Kyiv Military Command College of Communications. After graduation holding the rank of lieutenant served in the Air Forces (1989–1990). In 1993 Serhiy Malyk started a professional career in motorsports.
Enthusiasm in sports cars, natural leadership capabilities and a personal goal to make step-change in Ukrainian motorsports lead to the establishment of nonprofit organisation Kyiv City Auto Moto Club (in Ukrainian — KMAMK) that was open on 29 June 1996. Since that time Serhiy Malyk has been the permanent president of the Club. Over the years the Kyiv City Auto Moto Club under Serhiy Malyk’s management organised over 300 various motorsport competitions and over 500 public events.
On 18 September 2004, Serhiy Malyk on the sports car Estonia 25 (class Formula-1600) set the record of Ukraine reaching Ai-Petri mountain, Yalta, Crimea, Ukraine. On 22 October 2005 Serhiy Malyk set a new record of Ukraine "Three winning places out of three races in different car classes during one race" — the total distance of all races was 201 km with 134 laps. According to the results of the sports season 2005, Serhiy Malyk became the Champion of Ukraine in circuit car racing.
On 20 September 2006, Serhiy Malyk on the sports car Estonia 25 (class Formula-1600) in three races outran the jet aeroplane L-29 Dolphin on the 1200 meters distance. Ihor Polituchy, the first-class military air pilot, flight instructor of supersonic aircraft, piloted the plane.
On 20 May 2007, the Kyiv City Auto Moto Club organised the first in the history of Ukraine Diplomats Rally — the amateur rally race for representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international organisations.
In 2017 at the Bonneville Speed Week Serhiy Malyk set the world speed record on the motorcycle KMZ Dnipro. He was the fastest in the 650 М-РВG class after reaching 73.041 m/h (116.86 km/h).[2]
At the 70th Bonneville Speed Week in 2018 Serhiy Malyk set another record on the specially built motorcycle Dnepr Electric had reached 104.78 m/h (168 km/h).[3][4]
