Serpent's Curse is a water roller coaster currently under construction, located at Paultons Park in Hampshire, England. Manufactured by Mack Rides, the ride is a custom model of the company's Water Coaster roller coaster design. The attraction is scheduled to open in 2027 as an extension of the park's new for 2026 Viking-themed area, Valgard: Realm of the Vikings.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
Serpent's Curse will be the first ride type of its kind in the United Kingdom. The ride features a chain lift hill, followed by a swooping drop, twisted airtime hill, a small top-hat element, and a final splash down.[7]
History
In May 2025, media reports indicated that Paultons Park was developing a new Viking-themed area, titled Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, scheduled to debut for the 2026 season. The project was designed as a multi-phase expansion, with initial reports hinting at a planned water attraction intended for the second phase of development.
The first phase of the themed land officially opened to the public on 16 May 2026. Concurrently, Paultons Park management formally announced details for the 2027 phase-two expansion, confirming it would be headlined by a major water-based thrill ride named Serpent's Curse.[8][9]
