The project was honoured by patronage of His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, the King of Cambodia and His Majesty Simeon II., the last Tsar of Bulgaria. Along with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Žilina, the project donors are: His Royal Highness Franz, Duke of Bavaria, The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (Ordo Equestris Sancti Sepulcri Hierosolymitani), The Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, the only Catholic knight order or Czech origin (Ordo militaris Crucigerorum cum rubea stella in pede pontis Pragensis), Metropolitan Chapter House of St. Vitus in Prague, which is the owner of the saint's grave and the town Nepomuk – the birthplace of St. John of Nepomuk and villages Divina and Svederník.[9] The ceremonial holy mass in the St. Andrew's Church in Divina was on Friday 2 June 2017. After the holy mass, the statue was uncovered on its new stand by Joachim Bleicker, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Slovakia together with Emil Molko, Mayor of Divina and author of the project. Subsequently, it was blessed by Mons. Tomáš Galis, Bishop of Žilina.[10][11]

Tree of Peace[edit]

The Tree of Peace project is an international and strictly apolitical project created on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I.[12] The idea of the project is based on the fate of Ondrej Sobola who died on the Russian battlefield in an unknown place. His story inspired the author of the project, to memorialize the soldiers who died during the two world war conflicts in unknown places and were buried without their names or identities.[13] There is probably no country in the world that does without a war victim or an unknown soldier. The project would like to point its attention to the global environmental problems and to strengthen human solidarity in order to respect nature and its resources, not to rule the nature. In this way, the project has become universal and its application is made available also in all countries all over the world. By planting trees, Servare et Manere want to point out to not only the senselessness of military conflicts, but also to the senseless plundering of nature in all its spheres – on land, in the oceans or air pollution.[14] The Tree of Peace project was established on September 28, 2018. The international project Tree of Peace officially represents the Slovak Republic under the brand called “GOOD IDEA SLOVAKIA – IDEAS FROM SLOVAKIA”.[15][16] Under the brand name “GOOD IDEA SLOVAKIA”, Slovakia as a country presents itself at home and abroad. The Trademark License is granted by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.[4]
