Session (band)
Session is a Norwegian soft rock band from Orkanger, Trøndelag, Norway. The three-piece band consists of Pål Kvernvik (vocals, guitar), Nils Arne Figenschau (bass) and Eirik Hansen (drums), with assistance from supporting cowbell ringer Arne K. Mo. Their repertoire includes self-written songs as well as cover versions of tunes from the 80's.[neutrality is disputed]

History
The band's first release was the album Edru i dress in 1998. Their next album, Pils, came in 1999, one year after their debut. The band's breakthrough came with Rektum in 2004, creating controversy with their direct lyrics addressing upper class citizens in Orkanger. The record created so much fuzz and noise deep within the political departments of Orkland, that the band came to a halt and decided to pause their concerts, interviews and TV-shows for a while. It would be a very long period without any news from the band, until the spring of 2018 and their long-awaited fourth album: Sveisblind.
The band is proud of calling themselves a gender-neutral band, in the meaning that they adore and cultivate both male and female fans in an orderly fashion. "No one is left behind" is their motto.
In the early years, they had a big dedication to proud Norwegian artists like Terje Tysland, Bjøro Håland and Knut Storbukås. After a concert with Mr. Storbukås in 2004, they felt they had reached their peak, according to sources close to the band. This was also a reason for their withdrawal from the limelight, together with the previously mentioned controversy with the elite citizens of Orkanger City. Their wish to be an underground soft rock band was threatened with their increasingly growing fame in Norway.
Right before their 30th anniversary, the band decided to re-enter the days of their glorious past, redirecting to the prize-winning album "Rektum" and released news of two new songs; "Gå inn tørt" and "Bit i puta". Both a harsh and alarming warning to the sub-erotic elite of Orkanger.
