The company was founded in 2004 by Fernando Deira when he used $500 that he won from a photography contest to start Mexico Lust, a pornographic website that would eventually become SexMex. The site began recording four videos a month to now 15, producing between 120 and 150 videos annually. The site receives approximately one million visits per month. In comparison, Pornhub, the most visited porn site in the world, has about 14 billion visits per year, 78.7 million entries from Mexico (according to a 2013 report). SexMex has three websites that it operates.
