Seyed Ali Mousavi Noor (Persian: سید علی موسوی نور, born 7 March 2006) is an Iranian karateka. The athlete won the gold medal in the 2021 Asian Karate Championship. Mousavi is a member of Iran's men's national karate team in various categories. He won his first official medal in 2021 in the national team championship of Zanjan province. Mousavi is originally from the city of Ramhormoz.[1][2][3][4][5]
He started karate at the age of 12, and after winning various championship grassroots age groups, he became a member of the national team in 2017 and is currently the national champion of Islamic Republic of Iran karate team.[6][7]
Early life[edit]
In 2017, he started karate at the Abadis Club under the supervision of coach Ramhormzi and won his first official medal in 2022 at the national team national championship in the province of Zandjan.[8][9] He won the gold medal at the Asian Karate Championship in 2021 held in Almaty. In the ranking of the World Karate Federation, he occupies 3rd place with a weight of 70 kg.[10][11]

2021 Asian Championship[edit]
Seyed Ali Mousavi Noor appeared in his first international experience in the 70-kg weight category of the 2021 Asian Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan. In the first round, he defeated Alexander Morozov from Kyrgyzstan with a score of 3–1.[4][5][9][12]
In the second round, he beat Hasan al-Majadi from Kuwait with a score of 4-1 and went to the finals. In the final match, Mousavi Noor defeated Abdullah Al-Qahtani from Saudi Arabia with a score of 0-0 (5–0 in Hanti) and won the Gold medal of this competition.[10][6][13][14][15][16]
