Seyyed Mahmoud Madani Bejstani (born in 1343 in Bejestan city) is the son of Seyyed Javad Madani Bejstani, who was one of the great scholars of South Khorasan and was the Friday imam of Bojestan for twenty years. His brother was killed in the Iran-Iraq war. Also, in the seventh term of the Islamic Council, he was elected to the parliament as a representative of the people from Gonabad and Bejestan constituencies by obtaining 23,082 votes out of a total of 58,679 votes, equivalent to 39.34% of the votes.[1]
