Early Life[edit]
After studying engineering at Oxford University, Segnit began his career with stints as an ad executive at both Ogilvy & Mather and Saachi & Saachi. After discovering that the traditional advertising world wasn’t for him and working as a radio presenter, he became an authority on internet marketing long before most people had home internet access, working to sell a number of different products. He then moved to the United States in 1997 to co-found a $25 million Silicon Valley startup, and in the years that followed founded companies including CTRN: Change That’s Right Now and SPEEDILICIOUS, and even worked briefly as a trainer in the world of personal development.[1]

Over the course of MAGFAST founder and CEO Seymour Segnit’s eclectic career, he’s launched revolutionary products, helped people conquer phobias, made websites faster, been an on-air radio personality at London’s legendary Capital FM, and served as an account executive for two of the largest ad agencies in the world.[2] His story is one of passion, restlessness, and a willingness to work hard to make the world a better place.
In 2013, Segnit had an idea for a new kind of USB device charger, put it on crowdfunding site Indiegogo and soon found he’d launched the all-time #1 crowdfunded mobile accessory. Four years later launching MAGFAST, his second foray into the huge mobile charging market, he sold over $250,000 worth of wireless charging devices in under 15 minutes from a standing start.[3][4] By planning to succeed, studying the greatest product launches in history, and building better products, he has built a revolutionary business – and is changing charging forever.[5]
Personal Life[edit]
Segnit lives in the Hudson Valley, New York, with his wife and younger daughter.[6]
