Boris Harizanov (Bulgarian: Борис Харизанов; born: November 3, 1993), better known as Sh4d0wStrider, is a Bulgarian composer, musician and YouTuber. He is known for composing music in the Epic Music genre, which includes both original works and covers of popular film & series scores, video game soundtracks, anime soundtracks and covers of popular songs. Although he mainly composes tracks in what is considered "Epic Music" genre, his music style is inspired and derived from many genres ranging from pop and electronic music all the way rock, metal, k-pop, ethno & folklore music.
His channel originally had a mix of both music and gaming videos, hence he occasionally still uploads gaming content to the channel.

Personal life[edit]
Boris Harizanov was born on November 3, 1993, in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. He learned to play the piano at a young age and has always had a love for music. During his high school years, he went through different instruments including piano, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and drums. Eventually he found about Fruity Loops better known now as FL Studio and took his first steps into composing. He started out by creating beats and Techno/Trance instrumentals, which he uploaded alongside his video game content on his channel. However he slowly transitioned to combining his love for gaming and music by creating orchestral pieces, and further down the line fully composing in the Epic Music genre.
Boris graduated his hometown Foreign Language School with French as his main language and English as secondary. He knew English pretty well before High School so he decided to opt to study French more than English in the hopes of learning it. Although he has a certificate for a B1 level in French, he barely speaks it now since he mainly uses English, in which he has a C2 level certificate.
During his high school years he barely touched his instruments and had a lower interest towards music, although his love for it was the cause of him keeping up some form of piano and guitar playing skills. A few years before graduation, he started listening to more and more to the music of composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Howard Shore, which ignited his desire to create similar music. He planned to apply for with orhcestral music or film scoring in London but due to the lack of knowledge on classical music, orchestration and music theory he decided to instead study Criminology and use the university resources to improve his musical skills.
In 2012 he graduated High School and was accepted with Law & Criminology in Kingston University. In 2013 however due to failing two law exams he decided to entirely switch to Criminology, which he graduated in spring of 2016. During his University years he mainly uploaded gaming content with occasional original music, and covers. He was temporarily a huge fan of the game Dauntless and did regular content on it before deciding to completely focus his channel on music.
In 2017 he composed his RAGNAROK soundtrack, which was written for Wildcard Studio's ARK Survival Evolved RAGNAROK DLC. It was used as trailer music, boss fight soundtrack and main them for the DLC.
